Adams, Ryan (and The Cardinals) 6-May-05 Philadelphia, PA Live At the World Café (trader listed as broadcast date) 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) Interesting perspective, and some good ryan interview discussion.  I tested for mp3, and there was a sharp drop at 19K, yet sound was fairly good.  This was recorded off of internet, i suspect, and hence the analyser might be showing such a waveform.  There may have been slight glips between tracks.  nevertheless, this would be a good choice to hear some vintage ryan discussions on record companies, the cardinals, reworking of old and some comedy, decent music too.   " Ryan Adams & The Cardinals

Aerosmith 28-Mar-78 Boston , MA Boston Music Hall 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) pretty good sound, some seams, yet fun show. Mp3 analyser possibly suspect, but judging from no "tsks" or consistent seams, I think okay.

Band, The 7-Oct-70 LosAngeles, CA Live At The Hollywood Bowl 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) nice sounding historic cd. There are spaces between songs. I am guessing this is an inherent situation, but I am not familiar enough with The Band bootlegs to make such a determination.
Band, The 24-Nov-76 SanFrancisco, CA The Complete Last Waltz 4 Tradeable
Band, The 1971-1972 Various Academy Outakes 2 Tradeable
Bears, The 18-Dec-01 Cincinnati, OH The Barrelhouse 1 Tradeable
Beatles, The 1-Jan-62 London, UK The Decca Audition 1 Tradeable The Decca Audition, Monday 1 January, 1962

Decca Studios, Broadhurst Gardens, London

Then a "bank holiday" only in Scotland, the Beatles undertook their most important assignment to date this fresh New Year's Day morning: their first formal audition for a British record company, Decca.
Recording at the company's London studio - situated less than two miles from rival EMI's in Abbey Road - the Beatles nervously taped 15 songs, chosen by Brain Epstein to show off every facet of their talent. The likely order of performance was:

Like Dreamers Do
Money (That's What I Want)
Till There Was You
The Sheik Of Araby
To Know Her Is To Love Her
Take Good Care Of My Baby
Memphis
Sure To Fall
Hello Little Girl
Three Cool Cats
Crying, Waiting, Hoping
Love Of The Loved
September In The Rain
Besame Mucho
Searchin'

In other words, three Lennon-McCartney originals (Like Dreamers Do, Hello Little Girl and Love Of The Loved), two eccentric arrangements of old standards, seven cover versions of 1950s material - encompassing rock and roll, R&B and C&W - two soft ballads and a contemporary chart hit.
It's unlikely that the Beatles were given any opportunity to perform more than one take of any song, and each was recorded strictly live onto two-track mono tape, no overdubbing permitted. Decca's A&R assistant Mike Smith was in the control room - it was he who had seen the Beatles at the Cavern Club 19 days earlier - and the audition began around 11.00 am, ending approximately an hour later.

Had they done enough to pass? Smith promised to let Epstein know.

Beatles, The 1964 - 1965 Various Ultimate Live Volume 1 2 Tradeable
Beatles, The Various Various Let It Be Rehearsals Vol. 2: All Things Must Pass (Part 1: Electric Set)” 1 Tradeable excellent sound, great stuff. There might e a touch of static on T9 at 1:00, I couldn't tell as it might have been part of the session. This is one awesome cd, don't let my notes sway you into not getting. I am not a Beatles collector, so I don't know, but I imagine this is a must have.
Beck, Jeff 8-Aug-95 Pittsburgh, PA Starlake Ampitheatre 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) I looked and could not find set list, hence date and venue could be incorrect. Slight, insignificant sounds on a little of one track(and I forget which), but definitely a tradeable show.
Beck, Jeff 9-Aug-03 Tampa, FL   1 Tradeable ( see comments ) I do not have set list, hence date and venue could be incorrect. Show has some seams, but mp3 analyser showed it was not an mp3. I cant guarantee.  Show was fun with lots of energy and IMO some great guitar.  First time I have ever really listened to jeff beck and i found it quite enjoyable.

Belle & Sebastian 10-Jul-98 Brussels, Belgium   1 Tradeable Interesting band from Scotland. Known as "chamber pop". this was sent as a freebie, by a cool trader in Madrid, and i did enjoy it. here is what he had to write about the band...." Belle & Sebastian are really nice, I went to a gig here in Madrid the day before the terrorist attack, it was really cool, I think they will be touring USA soon, you should go and see them, they are about 8/10 people on stage with many instruments (including violins)."  I didnt notice the complexity on this cd, perhaps i will relisten one day. CD1 - Slow Graffiti / The Rollercoaster Ride / Paper Boat / It Could Have Been A Beautiful Career / Sleep The Clock Around / I Know Where The Summer Goes / The Wrong Girl / The State That I Am In / The Boy With The Arab Strap / Dylan In The Movies / Seymour Stein / Belle And Sebastian / Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying / The Loneliness Of The Middle Distance Runner

Bernstein, Steven 24-Jun-00 Berlin, Germany Steven Bernstein's Diaspora Sould (SBD) 1 Tradeable I can't emphasize how great this cd is. It is jazz and it was given to me by a jazz afficanado.  This cd is traditional jewish music, yet done in such an awesome fashion. I really had no interest in hearing traditional jewish music. Well I was wrong. This cd is for jews, christians, muslims and atheists alike. I emailed the trader afterwards and he let me know that of the 4500 shows he has, this is his favorite.

Blondie 1980 Europe Die Young, Stay Blonde 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) nice and refreshing, just like blondie ;-). Occasional and rare quality issue( for example, few secs in t16), but, all in all , this is an excellent cd
Blues Brothers 31-Dec-78 San Francisco,CA Winterland 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) This is one awesome cd, as the blues brothers opened for the Dead. One minor flaw, quick pop between t12/t13 (jailhouse rock takes up both tracks as well on t12/13).
Blues Travelers 4-Jul-00 Morrson, CO Red Rocks Amphitheater 3 Not Tradeable mp3 sourced. Confirmed with trader and also on set list
Bon Jovi 4-May-00 Chicago, IL House of Blues 2 Tradeable why do I have a bon jovi cd ? Oh yeah, cause my friend is into him, hence I got it in a trade to give to my buddies wife. Luckily she reviewed it for me and I never had to listen. Life is good :-)

Bowie, David 1967-72 Various 04 The Rise And Rise of Ziggy Stardust Volume 4 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) t5 might have a very slight flaw in beginning. It is not ear uncomfortable and it might not be a flaw, I cant tell. T6 has microgap at 00:15. Very worthwhile cd to own.

Bragg, Billy 14-Oct-96 Stockholm, Sweden At Gino 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) cool show, nice sound. An occasional microgap or click during a track. Not annoying or anything like that. My limited experience tells me that if this was in between tracks the potential for mp3 source exists, yet this is in middle of tracks and I am clueless if this means anything. I tried analyzing on cool edit and could not really determine anything.

Mauricio "Fritz" Lewak - drums and percussion
Jeff Young - keyboards, background vocals
Katherine Russell - background vocals

Notes: The night after his induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Jackson Browne staged a celebration concert at the Beacon Theatre in New York. Despite being in the middle of a solo acoustic tour, Jackson rounded up his band (backup singer Katherine Russell flew in from touring with David Bowie in Hong Kong just for this show!), and an impressive cast of guests. Among the special guests were former band members Vonda Shepard, Scott Thurston (currently with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers) and Danny Kortchmar, as well as Marc Cohn and Bruce Springsteen, who inducted Jackson the night before.

This recording was compiled from two different sources to ensure the best possible release. Songs marked with a star (*) is from a different source than the core of the show. I doubt you'll notice the transitions from one source to another.

Clash, The 25-Feb-82 Hong Kong, China Academic Community Hall Hong Kong Baptist Univer. 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) This is supposedly a show of recent release (I write this on june 3, 2004) and I cant verify date or venue. There were several references to 1982 and Hong Kong during the show.  show had some real cool Clash energy, and sound is good (not excellent).  I tested waveform for mp3 status and all looked okay.  The show does have micro hiccups or tsks between tracks. I don't know if that is source error or not.  Cd has a few occassional slight static issues.  D2 ends on Track 10, it sounded like another song was to be played, but i am not certain. This was identified on www.blackmarketclash.com on June 15, 2004.

Coltrane, John 23-Nov-61 Stockholm, Sweden Konserthusen 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) This cd is kinda nice. Starts off with the song " My Favorite Things" . I reviewed without set list. Remember, this recording is from 1961, hence the quality may not be up to your expectations. Spaces between tracks. Can't tell if this was ever a dao burn or just inherent. It almost sounds inherent. I did not frequency analyse the disc. I could upon request.
Coltrane, John 7-Jul-63 Newport, RI Newport Jazz Festival 1 Not Tradeable beautiful cd. Spaces between songs, I do not know if that is inherent or not. I do not have setlist. I searched and found a site with setlist for 070763, yet it doesn’t match the 4 songs on this cd. The site I found, showed My Favorite Things as song 1, whereas it is song 2 on my cd. The site also showed 2 songs, whereas this cd has 4. Hence, I question the date and venue, but certainly not the beauty of this cd.  Problem is that I have been informed that the actual 7/7/63 is available to purchase in jazz record stores, hence I dont feel comfortable trading this. Please don't ask for this cd.  It is possible that the date I have is actually wrong and that the cd I have is not truly trade restricted.

Costello, Elvis 10-Feb-78 Seattle, WA I've Just Come From California 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) Cover art says Feb 10, 1978, yet on T14, announcer mentions that Elvis was playing at the LCCC that day, and that was February 9, 1978. The setlist matches the sequence of Feb 10, 1978 cover art (yet, I never found Feb 9, 1978). Hence I am very confused on this one. Tracks 15-17 appear to be some filler from radio that day with elvis interview and stuff. Nice quality and good early stuff.

Track Sources:

01 to 10  Recorded Live at the UEA in Norwich on 13th October 2003
11 to 15  Recorded Live at Coopers Field in Cardiff Whales on 14th September 2003 (from a live BBC Radio One broadcast "One Big Sunday")

Tracks 10 and 11 have been mixed together to give the impression of a continuous gig, rather than fading out on track 10 and fading in on track 11.

Frequency Analysis:

01 to 10  Frequency Analysis is consistent with an FM Broadcast recording with a gradual slope between 15000hz and 17000hz.
11 to 15  Frequency Analysis is consistent with an FM Broadcast recording with a gradual slope between 15000hz and 17000hz.

Personal Thought:

I have seen another bootleg with just the Norwich tracks on it.  That bootleg claims that the source of the sound is "FM Radio".  I do not know the source for the sound on this (Gimme a D) bootleg, but suspect that it may also be from an FM Broadcast and not the Soundboard as the artwork suggets.  That is purely my opinion, I have no proof if I am correct!

I was notified and confirmed on 4/7/04, that the set list does not match cover art.  The date is very possibly 6/7/70, yet I couldn’t find a link to such. Here is what my buddy emailed me and set list he attached, "I've finally gotten to the Doors 6/5/70.
It sounds great but I thought you might want to know what I found.

The set list for 6/5/70 did not match the show. In the set list I found it said "also seen as 6/7/70".
I found the 6/7/70 show and another persons set list that match what I thought it should be, based on my listening to the show.

Dylan, Bob 11-Mar-62 New York, NY Folk Singer's Choice ( Cynthia Gooding Show) 1 Tradeable this is a must have for dylan collectors. Wow, quality is awesome. Dylan is 20 years old. Please understand risks of this cd. I don't know enough about Dylan boots to determine if this is inherent or not.

Dylan, Bob  ? 1969 Nashville, TN Dylan / Cash Sessions 1 Trade Warning horrible hum througout cd . I found this cd to be unlistenable. Microblips between songs. I didn’t list this as not tradeable, because I do not know the inherent quality of this bootleg. Hence if you want this cd, I will trade it. It is unknown to me why anyone would want this cd.

Earle, Steve 6-Feb-98 Sea Bright, NJ Tradewinds with Bruce Springsteen 2 Tradeable I really enjoyed this show. I have heard tales that Steve was in a bad mood that night, not feeling well, etc, until Bruce showed up; frankly I didn’t sense that during my listen of this fantastic show. I have researched this show and have heard from people who were at this show and they insist it was 2/6/98. The reason i bring this up is because brucebase shows 2/7/98 and the cover art i have has 2/16/99.  What an awesome cd to have.
Earle, Steve 19-Jun-98 St. Louis, MO Mississippi Nights 2 Tradeable I don’t have set list for show. I looked in various places. Venue according to db.etree.org is Missippi Nights.
Earle, Steve 11-May-99 Malmo, Sweden   2 Tradeable
Earle, Steve 25-May-00 Warwick Arts Center Steve's Last Ramble 1 Tradeable great sound, great show
Earle, Steve 15-Dec-00 Asbury Park, NJ Live At The Stone Pony 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) cd sounds great. Tracks are seamless. The frequency indicates 16000 in classic mp3 signature, yet the cd sounds great. I think that this was taken off of the Pony Cam via TotalRecorder and perhaps that has inherent frequency limits.  See my description of Pete Yorn on 5/4/01 for similar explanation.
Earle, Steve 24-Feb-01 Madison, WI   2 Tradeable ( see comments ) I don’t have setlist or any information for show, hence I cant guarrantee set list is complete. Yet, it sure sounds complete. Frequency analyser dropped casually to 16000, not a classic signature and it continued on a low line past through 19000+. I don’t think it is mp3 and there are no seams between the tracks. This basically means that there are no gaps, microglips etc, hence a fine cd (IMO).
Earle, Steve 27-May-01 Sacramento, CA Sacramento, CA 1 Tradeable date on coverart indicates 5/27/00, trader indicates 5/27/01 is accurate
Earle, Steve 18-Nov-02 Washington, DC 9:30 Club 2 Tradeable quite an excellent show.

Eddie, John 26-Aug-86 Philadelphia, PA The Trocadero (WMMR Broadcast) 2 Tradeable real nice show, good rockin. Interesting to hear JE refer to himself as a "jersey boy" and growing up in Jersey. Guess he was just kidding, as I think he was born and raised  in Virginia.  I previously had this listed as 1996, and for some reason I think it is 1986, and my discs had 1986 written on em (by me). date is theoretically questionable)
Eddie, John 16-Oct-87 Philadelphia, PA Absolutely Live onWMMR - Brutal Polka Dots 1 Trade Warning cool performance, yet there are slight gaps or I don’t know what to call them between tracks. I ran a frequency analyser and this seems to have the classic mp3 signature, hence I unfortunately have to call this show untradeable.
Eddie, John 25-Nov-00 Asbury Park, NJ The Stone Pony   2 Tradeable cool show, JE was feeling good. Crowd got sparce at end.

Eddie, John 17-Jan-04 New York, NY Bowery Ballroom 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) First song during show may have been "Family Tree", looks like source tape did not include song. just an awesome show. I missed this one, and after listening to this fine cd, I regret it even more. Great sound and performance. Listen with a cocktail, you all :-)
Eddie, John 7-Aug-04 Asbury Park, NJ The Stone Pony 2 Tradeable real nice show. Pretty good sound. I was at this show
Eddie, John 6-Aug-06 Asbury Park, NJ The Stone Pony (early and late show) 2 Tradeable really nice cd. I especially liked the early show.  Apparently, the early show is in mono only, because of a taping issue, but still a fine John Eddie show.

Egan, Walter 20-Jul-78 Toronto, Canada El Macambo 1 Tradeable Another obscure bootleg. This time its Walter Egan and the Professional Band from the El Macambo in Toronto Canada on 07-20-78. In the late 70's in my group of friends it just wasn't summer if our cars weren't blasting tapes of Walter Egan's first 2 LPs (Fundamental Roll and Not Shy). He never received much success beyond the hit single "Magnet and Steel" and is now considered a "one hit wonder". But he will always be #2 in my favorites book...right behind Bruce. He is still releasing music today...both solo and as leader of his 2 bands The Malibooz and The Brooklyn Cowboys.

This set is from an FM broadcast and is excellent quality.

If you are a fan or just want to try out some late 70's California music,
Elliot Sharp's Terraplane 2-Feb-02 New York, NY Knitting Factory DAUD Terraplane Blues 1 Tradeable
Ely, Joe 11-Oct-95 New York, NY Tramps 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) I don’t have set list. Cant guarantee that this show is actual date and venue. I have no reason to believe it is not Tramps NYC.
Ely, Joe 17-Mar-96 Dublin, Ireland A Thousand Miles From Home (with Bruce) 2 Tradeable great sounding and cool show. Bruce shows up on d2 and it is fun to hear the crowd freak. This is the only show I can think of where Bruce shows up and really takes a back seat. I am not real fluent with Bruces cameos, so perhaps a back seat is what he often does.
Emerson, Lake and Palmer 8-Jul-77 New York, NY Madison Square Garden 2 Tradeable fair to good, not excellent sound. AUD recording.
Eminem 2-Aug-01 Manchester, England MANCHESTER CHAINSAW MASSACRE 1 Not Tradeable clicks between tracks, I believe this to be mp3  sourced.
Escovedo, Alejandro 8-Jun-96 New York, NY Mercury Lounge 1 Tradeable
Escovedo, Alejandro 8-May-99 NorthHampton, MA Iron Horse Music Hall (SBD) 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) nice sound.
Escovedo, Alejandro 4-Sep-99 San Francisco, CA Slim's 1 Tradeable nice sound
Escovedo, Alejandro 15-Nov-00   Iron Horse Music Hall (SBD) 1 Tradeable
Escovedo, Alejandro 26-Jan-01 Dallas, TX Gypsy Tea Room 2 Trade Warning end of d1t9 and most of d1t10 has static, rather severe at times (eg 04:17 and 08:51).  Did not finish past this track in review as it was to the point of non tradeable.  Trader confirmed on his copy as well. If you would like me to finish review, just give the word.
Escovedo, Alejandro 18-Mar-01 Austin, TX Continental Club , SXSW 2 Tradeable
Escovedo, Alejandro 2-Sep-01 Yosemite, CA Strawberry Music Festival ( Camp Mather) 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) I don’t have set list. I know the show was on a Friday, I think near San Francisco as he mentioned lots of SF Giants hats. May have been broadcast on KPIG. Some occasional static (only on 2 songs and non event, still take this tape if static is scaring you, might have been source problem, short and minor).  some gaps between songs. dont know why. mp3 analyser was fine. okay, here is the kicker. this is an awesome AE show. really rockin and enjoyable.
Escovedo, Alejandro 28-Feb-02 Minneapolis, MN Cedar Cultural Center 2 Tradeable
Escovedo, Alejandro 19-Jul-02 Chicago, IL   2 Tradeable ( see comments ) I do not have setlist, hence venue date could theoretically be incorrect.
Escovedo, Alejandro 20-Jul-02 Chicago, IL   2 Tradeable ( see comments ) I do not have setlist, hence venue date could theoretically be incorrect.
Escovedo, Alejandro 1-Aug-02 Oklahoma City, OK The Blue Door 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) really nice show, great sound. Occasional source difficulties, but still a great cd. I do not have setlist, hence venue date could theoretically be incorrect.
Escovedo, Alejandro ??????? Lexington, KY LYNAUGHS LIVE 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) I don’t have set list for this show. I am guessing the date to be July 31, 1999. I saw it as a 2 disc and 1 disc set on other lists with that date, hence my guess. He also played Lynaughs that day. Also seems to have played on 4/21/01. Real nice bar show. a few tape edits that were ruff. I mp3 analysed and all looked cool, yet with tape edits, theoretically these could be mp3 sourced, yet i doubt it. Fantastic show. ISO cover art or set list.
Etheridge, Melissa 29-Sep-89 New York, NY Live At The Bottom Line 2 Not Tradeable set list does not match from etree.org, 2 second gaps and ruff cuts. Unfortunate , since this seems to be a nice performance.
Etheridge, Melissa 15-Feb-95 Brooklyn, NY Unplugged - Special Guest Bruce Springsteen 1 Tradeable
Faces 5-Apr-75 London, UK   1 Tradeable
Fairport Convention Various Various Now Be Thankful The Full House BBC Sessions Gold Standard 2 Tradeable excellent compilation from 1970 BBC specials. Some Richard Thompson. Sounds like Irish folk. I really enjoyed this. Quality varied per track.
Fitzgerald, Ella 5-Jul-73 New York, NY Newport Jazz Festival at Carnegie Hall (SBD) 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) analyser showed strange waveforms. Drop at 16k (tell tale), yet then an increase up and then another drop at 22kish. I couldn’t hear microgaps or any clicks, yet there are fades between songs with slight spaces. Don’t know if this is mp3 or not. Sound is rather nice and performance is excellent.
Flatlanders 11-Mar-00 New York, NY Early Show  ( I think it is The Bottom Line) 2 Tradeable
Flatlanders 25-May-01 Yosemite, CA Strawberry Music Festival (SBD) 2 Tradeable
Flatlanders 10-May-02 St. Louis, MO WFPK Studios  St. Louis MO 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) I don’t have set list. Occasional skips in sections. Very slight and this show I quite tradeable, just understand there is an occassional flaw.
Fleetwood Mac 21-Oct-82 Los Angeles, CA The Forum   1 Tradeable
Fleetwood Mac 1-Jun-03 Greenville, SC Bi-Lo Center 2 Not Tradeable 2 second gaps, hence not tradeable

Flek, Bela and The Flecktones 6-Aug-90 Bostic, NC   3 Tradeable ( see comments ) What a great cd.  I cant figure out the music style, sounds like "jazz/country", I think the band described it as "Newgrass" on d3t4, just awesome , so enjoyable.  AUD A qualtiy per trader.I don't have set list, I searched extensively. Hence, artist, date and/or venue could be incorrect.
Floggin Molly 7-Mar-05 Cleveland, OH House of Blues 2 Tradeable no set list, a friend of mine taped it. Interesting show from an Irish Band. Lots of cussing and rowdiness.  Not sure if I like the band, but I certainly found the show interesting, especially since I listened right before St. Patricks day.
Fogerty, John 11-Sep-78 Stockholm, Sweden Globe Arena 2 Tradeable trader does not have cover art yet, is trying to procure, dbtree does not list date. There is one small skip on D-2 T-10 at 3:58
Fogerty, John 26-Jun-97 Denmark Roskilde '97 1 Tradeable
Foo Fighters 25-May-97 Manchester, England LONG LIVE GRUNGE (Manchester Appolo) 1 Tradeable
Forbert, Steve 18-Sep-88 New York, NY Bottom Line Live on WNEW-FM 2 Tradeable
Frampton, Peter 7-May-74 Hempstead, NY Ultrasonic Studios 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) really nice cd, great sound and energy. Track 2 shares 2 songs. Static on t4 for first minute. Not much music affected, but annoying nevertheless. Shame as this is a nice cd.  Nothing wrong with this excellent pick as long as you have knowledge of t4 apparant flaws.
Frampton, Peter 24-Feb-75 Sausolito, CA Sausolito Record Plant 1 Tradeable
Furtado, Nelly 23-May-01 San Francisco, CA Warfield Theater 1 Tradeable Get Ur Freak On (remix), Trynna Finda Way, Hey Man, Party, Turn off the Light, Shit on the Radio, I'm Like a Bird intro, I'm Like a Bird
Furtado, Tony Band 15-Apr-99 St. Louis, MO Cicero's  2 Tradeable SBD A per trader, sounds nice, blue grass, slide guitarist, with a swing, jazz and celtic folk influence. Really crisp sound.totally awesome for the adventuresome.
Genesis 4-May-74 New York, NY Academy of Music 2 Tradeable decent but not great AUD recording. I will defer to my friend Mike who might give a better review, as he is a Genesis fan.
Genesis 11-Jan-75 Lakeland, FL Lakeland Lamb 2 Tradeable trader mentioned SBD "A". I concur, awesome sounding show
Genesis 16-Feb-77 Chicago, IL Transit Auditorium 2 Trade Warning trader mentioned  FM "A", I do not concur. I found the sound to be fair, seams b/w songs, I heard one click b/w songs (one of first 4 on d1). Analyser was mp3 suspect, yet not definitive. I did not listen to much of this, take at own risk and knowledge of this note.
Genesis 24-Jun-77 London, UK Earl's Court 2 Tradeable very nice sound. Slight static on d2t2 from 3:00 to 3:10.
Genesis xx-xx-1975 Unknown Unknown 2 Not Tradeable this appears to be a commercial release called "archive 1". I spent a lot of time on this one as I had never heard genesis and this sure was awesome.  Upon reconstruction of the set list (trader was unaware and had wrong date with a materially differrent set list) and then a post on some NG's, i found out that set list did match the first few cds of the for sale show. key was 0:34 track near beginning of disc 1. hence not tradeable. note to self. get some genesis from 74/75.
George, Lowell 20-Jun-79 Browns Mill, NJ Alexander's 1 Tradeable according to trader skip on t5 0:36, T5 ends abruptly.  Lowell died 9 days later
Gilkyson, Eliza 11-Jan-02 Olympia, WA Traditions Café 2 Tradeable mellow, folksy, nice sound. Slight flaw at d2t1 03:44 (very slight and I shouldn’t have even written it)
Gilkyson, Eliza 6-Aug-02 Detroit, MI Gem Theater (w/ Patty Griffin) 2 Tradeable really nice cd. Pretty good AUD recording. D2t10 at 4:54, sounds like an audience fart.

Grateful Dead 18-Feb-71 Port Chester , NY Capitol Theater 3 Tradeable
Grateful Dead 22-Sep-72 Jersey City, NJ Dicks Picks Volume 11 (Stanley Theater) 3 Tradeable ( see comments ) ruff tape edits, seams b/w many of the tracks. Frequency analyser showed no mp3, yet that is not a perfect test. I do not know if this is inherent in the cd.  Nice performance and sound.
Grateful Dead 15-Sep-73 Providence, RI Civic Centre, Providence, RI 2 Tradeable
Grateful Dead 29-Jun-76 Chicago, IL Auditorium Theater 3 Tradeable
Grateful Dead 8-May-77 Ithaca, NY Barton Hall, Cornell University 3 Tradeable
Grateful Dead 9-Jun-77 SanFrancisco, CA Winterland Arena 3 Tradeable ( see comments ) couple of ruff edits. But an excellent cd. Im not sure if this exactly matches the setlist. I suspect it does, yet I think d1 has one song filler on the last track. Otherwise the times match the setlist perfectly. This cd came from an excellent Dead trader and it is certainly a worthwhile pick.
Grateful Dead 16-Apr-78 Huntington, WV Huntington Civic Center 2 Tradeable
Grateful Dead 31-Dec-78 SanFrancisco, CA Winterland 3 Not Tradeable this was a thoughtful gift from a real nice guy. Mp3 analyser showed the classic mp3 signature and there were 2 second gaps. This would be an excellent show to try and get.
Grateful Dead 11-Oct-80 SanFrancisco, CA Warfield Theater - Acoustic 1 Tradeable excellent sounding cd. This is the first set which was acoustic. From what I understand this is the only boot floating from that night.
Grateful Dead 7-Aug-82 East Troy, WI Alpine Valley Music Theatre 3 Tradeable excellent
Grateful Dead 17-Oct-83 Lake Placid, NY Olympic Center 3 Tradeable my friend who was at the show reviewed this one. He absolutely loved it. He used to go to lots of Dead shows and says this was his favorite.

Griffin, Patty 6-Aug-02 Detroit, MI Gem Theater (w/ Eliza Gikyson) 2 Tradeable really nice cd. Pretty good AUD recording. D2t10 at 4:54, sounds like an audience fart.
Grushecky, Joe 17-Oct-95 Asbury Park, NJ Always An Outside Chance ( Bruce Springsteen shows up ) 2 Tradeable excellent. I always like hearing Bruce showing up at a bar.
Grushecky, Joe (and the House Rockers) 20-Oct-95 Pittsburgh, PA Nick's Fat City (Springsteen plays in band) 2 Tradeable awesome recording. Not much on bruce vocals, but some.  Guitar during  d1t7 "never be enough" is awesome.  After the song Joe G says, "that's why they call him the Boss".  Fun cd.
Grushecky, Joe (and the House Rockers) 1-Nov-03 Asbury Park, NJ Light of Day 4 (Day 1) (w/ Springsteen) 2 Tradeable awesome 2 disc set, bruce shows up at beginning of d2 and plays on entire disc
Guthrie, Arlo 27-May-00 Hebron, Ohio Buckeye Lake Music Center 1 Tradeable
Guy, Buddy 16-May-01 Chicago, IL Buddy Guy's Legends 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) what an excellent sound. D2 has filler, which is Dan Ackroyd narrating a Blues Hour (but, not sure if its an hour, and I didn’t fully review that section). The Tea Party is a great cd of Bluesman Buddy Guy.
Hamilton, Dirk 30-Apr-00 Rimini, Italy Live In Rimini Italy (Fan Club Compilation) 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) I don’t have set list for show. Trader stated April 20, 2000 but I saw this on a website somewhere as April 30, 2000, hence I cant verify correct date

Hancock, Butch w/ Jimmie Dale Gilmore 1-Oct-88 Austin, TX Cactus Club 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) excellent cd, excellent show. I reviewed without a set list. I still do not have set list.
Harper, Ben 12-Mar-98 Boston , MA Avalon Ballroom 2 Tradeable trader mentioned  FM "A"
Harper, Ben 4-Jun-98 Seattle, WA The Acoustic Showcase 1 Tradeable I can't begin to write how wonderful and warming this cd is.
Harper, Ben 10-Apr-03 Sydney, Australia Hordern Pavillion 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) AUD A qualtiy per trader, agreed, not soundboard, but pretty good sound. I was not in love with this show, but that's me. On d2t12 05:44 through rest of track, there is a slight click. I cant tell if it is source or burning problem. My guess is burning problem, since it is prevelant on quieter sections.  I asked Trader on 2/11/04.
Harper, Ben Various Paris, France The Electric Showcase 1 Tradeable beautiful !!!
Harris, EmmyLou 4-Jul-92 Montrreux, Switzerland Trail's End (with the Nash Ramblers) 1 Tradeable
Harris, EmmyLou 23-Nov-95 London, UK Shepherd's Bush 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) slight microgaps or tics. Frequency analyser did not detect mp3, yet that is inconclusive.  Take in trade at own risk.

Harris, EmmyLou 6-Dec-98 New York, NY Bottom Line 2 Tradeable
Harrison, George Various Various 12 Arnold Grove 1 Tradeable
Heartbreakers 28-Apr-79 New York, NY Max's Kansas City Late Show 1 Tradeable notes to set list explain some inherent encore situations
Hendrix, Jimi 17-Mar-68 New York, NY Blues At Midnight 1 Tradeable This for me, was just so awesome.  Pure instrumentals, non Jimi like, in the traditional sense, but such an awesome display of art for me.  per trader, "sbd, At Café Au Go Go in Greenwich Village w/Paul Butterfield, Elvin Bishop, Buddy Miles, etc.  Real bluesy and jazzy.  Excellent alternate look at JH."
Hendrix, Jimi 24-Feb-69 London, UK Royal Albert Hall 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) I cant tell if this is mp3 sourced or not. The frequencies were quite low in the 12000 - 16000 range. There are microglips, but I didn’t hear them on every track, so I don’t know.  The sound and performance are awesome. If I was convinced this was an mp3, i would not trade it, but the sound is just really nice. He put on a great show and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Hendrix, Jimi 30-May-70 Berkeley, CA Soundboard 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) quick noise at t7 04:45. Really awesome cd
Hendrix, Jimi 30-Jul-70 Maui, Hawaii Haleakala Crater 2 Trade Warning classic mp3 signature at 19000, not 16000.microclicks on occasion and hiccups on occasion.hence I believe it to be mp3 sourced . I have not fully reviewed this cd. I would trade this with the knowledge of above
Hendrix, Jimi 6/20 +6/22 1969 Sacramento, CA Newport Pop Festival 3 Tradeable ( see comments ) per trader, "disc 1 is sbd of june 20 show. Disc 3 is sbd of jam session with buddy miles and eric burdon from june 22. Disc 2 is more jam session, plus audience for track 1 of june 20 show(ie a 16 minute Stone Free-Are You Experienced, now complete on disc 2. It runs only 14 minutes as sbd on disc 1.  the disc has quality issues (as disclosed on etree and other sources). for me, although the quality is muffled, and not a complete set list, the cdr is just an awesome historical perspective. Jimi talks to audience and discusses how he doesnt appreciate some of their actions " picking their asses and noses", changes some words. throws in star spangled banner. Plus the jam session is fun. Again, great cd if you dont mind some quality flaws and a few clicks here and there.
Hiatt, John 26-Jun-93 Chicago, IL DRIVE SOUTH   (Grant Park) 1 Tradeable very cool show, sound is excellent.
Hiatt, John 4-Apr-96 Sausolito, CA Unplugged '96 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) a few ruff edits, but a real nice cd.

Holly, Buddy Various Various Rare Tracks - " In Person " - Japanese 1 Tradeable really cool cd. Lots of interviews. Also newscasts of plane crash. Beginning of cd has interview and they joke of the band in a made up helicopter accident.  Awesome music to boot.  Get this cd !!!!
Holly, Buddy Various Home and Studio The Apartment Demos 1 Tradeable really nice sounding cd, considering the age. Track 22 is awfully disturbing as it is a very racist song.  It has been brought to my attention that this may not be Buddy singing on this song, and that perhaps buddy is playing guitar. This is not from a confirmed source, so I can only note it here. You can do a google search of : "buddy holly" "nigger hating me" and see the results. One person menitons that Buddy is on guitar, whereas the singer is a Johnny Rebel.

Buddy Miles on drums (that was one of Hendrix's drummers who is so well regarded. potential notional date, no setlist as of 021604. I searched for set list, couldn’t find.  Excellent sounding cd.  Cd starts off with another band. I couldn’t determine the name, something like " Marla Cook and the King Snakes".  The announcer mentions that this is the "grand finale to 7th annual chicago blues festival". Hence a potential source of date verification or research.

Jewel 24-Oct-97 Stockholm, Sweden Solo Acoustic 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) nice sound, yet my 10/24/97 and 10/28/97 sound so much alike. Except for bonus tracks I think they are similar.  The setlists I have are so similar, I just don’t know the ecact date I have or if these are two different shows or not. My guess is that these are the same shows. I listened to a few tracks together, and they seem so identical, stories , etc. Trader sucks, unresponsive and lots of mp3, take at own risk.

Jewel 9-Jun-99 New York, NY VH1 Story Tellers 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) classic mp3 signature on analyser, yet this might have been taped or recorded from FM or TV which I think could cause that frequency analysis.  Sound is real good. Jewel 26-May-02 Portsmouth, UK Guildhall (1st generation) 2 not Tradeable On T9, Jewel mentions Toronto. Not definitive, but most certainly indicated she was playing in Toronto, whereas this date is from UK.  notes are prior to replacement. I have no set list for this. I do not feel comfortable as the venue being correct. There seems to be much filler on D1 which is 19 tracks.  D2 , which is 16 tracks, is totally different quality than first disc. D1 has occasional seemed edits, yet awesome quality before what appears to be filler.  I asked trader, but do not expect an answer.  Trader sucks, unresponsive and lots of mp3, take at own risk. Trader sent me another copy, classic mp3 signature. I have no set list and did not hear microclicks. yet, first track is filled with clicks and clacks. Little Feat 14-Sep-74 Long Island, NY Ultrasonic Studios 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) date is debateable, cant pinpoint with confidence
Little Feat 31-Oct-74 Boston , MA Bag of Reds 1 Tradeable FM A quality per trader.  awesome sound and performance. trader, did not warn me to be careful while driving. segway from "skin it back", to "fatman in the bathtub" is dangerously awesom. i miss lowell.  trader mentioned Boston as the venue, yet dbtree listed Rochester, NY. I questioned trader (excellent trader with extensive collection) and he wrote " I have looked into the Little Feat before - there is some debate whether it is Rochester or Boston, but the more hard core Feat Heads believe it is Boston. The Feat Base site says that they played Boston on 11/26/74, though. And does not refer to any '74 shows in Rochester. To make things more complex, Little Feat played the same venue - The Orpheum TH, Boston on 10/31/75. But the set list for the "Bag of Reds" disc matches the '74 tour."

Mayall, John Various Various Bluesbreaking (with Eric Clapton ) 1 Trade Warning loud micro clicks. Analyser had a drop at 22k. Don't know if this is an mp3 or not.  This is a BBC show which mentions the eric clapton of playing guitar.  I don’t know if mp3 or not. Take at your own risk. I did not fully review cd, hence there could be undisclosed further flaws.

"Bill Buchanan."

Mitchell, Joni 11-Jan-72 LosAngeles, CA The Troubador 1 Trade Warning I don't have set list. I did  a minor search and perhaps this cd (if authentic) is part of "roses" period. When I review it, I should see if James Taylor is on it as well. Sound is really poor, venue or date has not been verified. I didn’t even listen to this all the way through.  Take at your own risk.
moe. 7-May-99 Columbia, MO Blue Note 3 Tradeable
moe. 30-Sep-01 Park City, Utah Harry O's 3 Tradeable ( see comments ) really nice recording. Sounds like SBD. There was a buzz at end of d1t2, yet the band commented on a buzz shortly thereafter, hence I think the "buzz" is an inherent error ( won't guarantee it though).
Monk, Thelonious 18-Apr-61 Paris, France Olympia Theater 2 Tradeable real nice sound and cd.
Monk, Thelonious 22-Feb-64 Paris, France Alhambra 1 Tradeable very nice jazz cd. Lots of sax.

Morrison, Van 26-Apr-70 SanFrancisco, CA Fillmore West 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) very slight microgaps between tracks. Also  tested  for mp3 source and although frequency goes to 22000 (whereas mp3 sourced shows are  allegedly are under 16000) yet it does have a sudden drop off at those rates. I do not know enough about Van Morrison to competently determine whether this show is tradeable or not
Morrison, Van 26-May-73 Los Angeles, CA IT AINT WHY IT JUST IS 1 Tradeable RECORDED LIVE AT  LA TROUBADOUR 26/5/1973. Just excellent
Morrison, Van 30-Jun-74 Montreux, Switzerland Montreux Jazz Festival 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) nice sounding cd. I found set list at etree, which lists 9 songs, mine has 11 songs. Im not familiar with the tracks and I didn’t research based on a word find. Take at own risk.

Morrison, Van 17-Mar-85 Berkley, CA St. Patricks Day Live in Berkley 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) decent sound, spaces, not clicks between tracks. Mp3 analyser of waveform looked okay.
Morrison, Van 10-Jul-86 New York, NY Pier 84 2 Trade Warning I have not finished listening to this. intermittent subtle static. one example is d1t2 00:34 for a bit after that., i cant swear there are other issues, but i kind of recall, a few others.CD1 - Lark Ascending / Got To Go Back / Moondance / Tore Down A La Rimbaud / Vanlose Stairway / Northern Muse / Sense Of Wonder / The Street Only Knew Your Name / Ballerina / She gives Me Religion / Haunts Of Ancient Peace / A Town Called Paradise ||||| CD2 - The Master's Eyes / In The Garden / Bright Side Of The Road / It's All In The Game - Make It Real / And The Healing Has Begun / Summertime In England / Send In The Clowns / St Dominc's Preview / Full Force Gale
Morrison, Van 30-Nov-89 New York, NY The Concert Remastered 2004 - Beacon Theater 2 Tradeable from website, " Liner Notes
This set contains all the soundboard material from the Beacon
Theater concert. It's a perfect recording clearly professionally mixed, coming
for another source than the previous versions "Inspired Evenings" and "The
Concert Unabridged". This one has a much larger frequency spectrum as well as a
better stereo separation and zero hiss audible. A mp3 comparison snippet (click
here) allows you to hear the difference between "Inspired Evenings" and this
remaster. It alternates "Inspired Evenings" and this "Concert Remastered" every
10 seconds, so: IE/CR/IE/CR/IE/CR/IE/CR. A second snippet (click here) allows
you to hear the difference between "Concert Unabridged" and this remaster. It
alternates "Concert Unabridged" and this "Concert Remastered" every 10 seconds,
so: CU/CR/CU/CR/CU/CR/CU/CR."
Morrison, Van 2-Jul-95 Holmdel, NJ Garden State Arts Center 2 Tradeable ( see comments ) this is an awesome show.  Sound is good at most parts, there are several quality flaws throughout. There is static on d2t1 from 1 minute, through most of song. Music fades at times and doesn’t seem to use both speakers. Van seems to do some musical experimentation, which is rather neat.
Morrison, Van 17-Dec-95 Point Depot , IR From Dublin Up To Sandy Row 2 Tradeable
Morrison, Van 29-May-97 Dublin, Ireland THE TEMPLE BAR 2 Tradeable awesome, purely awesome. This is Van showing up at the Temple Bar in Dublin, playing with The Richie Buckley Jazz Group. Less than 300 people were at this bar show and this is an awesome Audience recording. I do not have set list, but I do have some art work, which verifies the venue and date.  Also has appearances by Haji Akba and vocalist daughter, Mary Dickerson....ahh, just wonderful.
Morrison, Van 6-Jun-02 Berlin, Germany Meet Me In The Berlin Summer 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) really cool show and the sound is nice (although I listened on a rather poor system, but still sounded excellent).  I ran a frequency analyser and it showed a classic mp3 signature, yet I couldn't hear any of the mp3 traits. See pete yorn's 99X show below for greater discussion. Please only accept in trade with knowledge of above. Also, I did not verify set list.
Morrison, Van 6-Nov-03 Barcelona, Spain   2 Tradeable ( see comments ) not a bad recording at all. I think it is AUD. A few very minor flaws. Morrison, Van w/ Linda Gail Lewis 20-Oct-00 Oslo, Norway FRIDAY NIGHT IN OSLO 2 Trade Warning analyser did not show mp3 signature, but there were microblips on all or most tracks.  I could not find set list, nor could I find venue matching date as I searched. I suspect this in not date as I have listed.
Mott The Hoople 29-Nov-72 Philadelphia, PA Tower Theater 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) mp3 analyser not conclusive. Potential mp3, BUT, with that said. No glips, no tics, some seams..but….Mott The Fucken Hoople. Great rock n roll and an excellent selection.

Nirvana 22-Feb-94 Rome, Italy  "XXIIMCMXCIV" 1 Tradeable ( see comments ) sounds good to me. Analyser had classic 16000 frequency. Which could indicate either mp3 or minidisc. I heard no gaps or clicks on this cd. I think this is a compilation of the 1994 European tour.  Again, sounds pretty good, but no guarantees on this one.
Notting Hillbillies 24-Jul-98 London, UK Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club 2 not Tradeable mp3 analysis had low level frequencies, at or below 18000, yet not a classic mp3 signature. Nevertheless, the cd had loud clicks between tracks.

Vote for Change
Pearl Jam is excited to announce the Vote for Change concert tour. Vote for Change is a loose coalition of musicians brought together by a single idea—the need to make a change in the direction of our country. We share a belief that this is the most important election of our lifetime. We are fighting for a government that is open, rational, just and progressive.

“The upcoming election provides everyone an opportunity to change the direction our country is headed and to elect a government that is just, rational and respectful of the views and rights of the people it serves. This coalition of artists wants to be a part of that change.” said Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam.

Artists participating in Vote for Change have merged their energies and talents to focus on states that are expected to have the closest race in the presidential election this fall. This unprecedented effort will include approximately 34 shows in 28 cities in 9 battleground states over the course of a week.

These concerts will feature Babyface, Jackson Browne, Bright Eyes, Dave Matthews Band, Death Cab for Cutie, the Dixie Chicks, John Fogerty, Ben Harper, Jurassic 5, Keb’ Mo’, John Mellencamp, My Morning Jacket, Pearl Jam, Bonnie Raitt, R.E.M., James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and more. These and other artists will appear on separate bills on the same night in selected cities around several battleground states.

Vote for Change artists hope to accomplish a single goal through the tour: to get people to the polls on November 2nd to vote for a change.

The Vote for Change tour will be presented by MoveOn PAC, with all concert proceeds benefiting the work of America Coming Together (ACT).

Be sure to register to vote early and make your Vote for Change!
